The story

The vault, the boxes and the sirens

Your crew tunnelled into the vault, and the tunnel came down behind you.

This review is for Ben(Game crew and Alex(Booking team). I do not write reviews. Ben and Alex are the reason I am writing this one. We came back to Escape This Perth CBD for my partner's birthday. Our first visit was on Father's Day, and we loved it so much that we planned this day three weeks ahead: The Wizard's Chamber, then Bank Heist. We were deep in the first game and loving it. Then my daughter suddenly became very unwell with diarrhoea, shortly after eating an unplanned sushi roll from Jaws Sushi. After two urgent runs to the bathroom, she was exhausted. I was back and forth with her, and none of us could think about the clock. Our best day fell apart in minutes. I told Ben we suspected food poisoning and could not continue. His first words were about my daughter, not the booking. He comforted us, spoke with his manager, and arranged for us to rebook. That evening she got worse, and we ended up in the emergency department. Alex then followed up by phone and email and made rebooking easy. Thanks to Ben and Alex, our family gets to come back and finish what we started. To the owner: having Ben and Alex on your team is a blessing. Please use this review for more than your rating.

Age rules

Best for 9+

  • Bank Heist is pitched at players aged 9 and over; children from 7 can join a family crew as paying players.
  • If anyone in the crew is 9 or younger, a parent or guardian has to play in the vault with them.
  • Crews with 10- to 13-year-olds can go in without an adult, provided one waits at the venue.
  • A crew where everyone is 14 or over needs no adult on site.
  • Babies and toddlers under 3 may come in as free spectators, at the team’s discretion, but they still count towards the 8-player limit.
Accessibility & safety

Wheelchair accessible

Bank Heist has room for one wheelchair per session. A handful of puzzles are harder to reach from a chair, but the vault involves no crawling or tight spaces, so it also suits players who are pregnant or have limited mobility.

  • A panic button lets anyone call it off and leave the vault early.
  • Gamesmasters keep an eye on the whole job over CCTV.
  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs is turned away at the door.
