The Tunnel No One Crawls

In short: The Bank Manager investigates the tunnel. Although the Bank Heist story begins with a tunnel, the room has no crawling and no tight spaces, so it suits players who are claustrophobic, pregnant or less mobile.

Tuesday. I have been making enquiries about the tunnel.

Every crew, it turns out, arrives the same way: weeks of digging, a great deal of dirt, and then a ceiling that gives up on them the moment they are inside. Nobody has ever seen them crawl, though. Not once. They simply appear in my vault, standing up, brushing off their sleeves as if they had come in on a tram.

I asked the gamesmasters where the crawling happens. They said it does not. There is no crawling in my vault, no squeezing, no wriggling and no little doors. The tunnel is a story, they said, and the story ends at the cave-in. Everybody walks about upright, like customers.

This is excellent news for anybody who dislikes small spaces, and very poor news for my theory that robbers are basically moles.

Clive has suggested we put up a sign saying No Tunnelling. I have asked him where. He is thinking about it.

FAQ

What this entry answers

Does Bank Heist involve crawling?

No. Even though the story starts with a tunnel, Bank Heist has no crawling and no tight spaces. That makes it a sound choice for players who are pregnant, have limited mobility or would rather stay on their feet.
